events, annual reporting, planning)
South Downs Forestry
Champions
• Support delivery of Forestry Champions action plan
Site specific habitat
management
• Agree approach and plans to control invasive non-native
species (INNS)
• Agree habitat management for INNS with partners
• Habitat management to protect and enhance priority
habitats
Landscape character
refresh
• Commission and oversee consultants to update the
landscape character assessment for the South Downs
• Pilot use of monitoring the SDNPA from space
Tranquillity mapping • Set up a citizen science project to refresh the existing
tranquillity map
