Barn Owl Livestream
The South Downs National Park Authority works in partnership with Sussex Ornithological Society, Hawk and Owl Trust and Wildlife Conservation Partnership to monitor boxes and feed into national data to monitor the population trends.
We Work with Farmers and landowners to help them provide the right habitats, nesting and roosting places for Barn Owls.
There are 244 boxes that we have recorded along the SDNP that landowners have put on their land.
Working to monitor these incredible species, and seeing how happy people are to hear they are doing well on their farms has been a very rewarding experience.
Over the last few years, we’ve provided a live stream from the boxes so we can see up close how the barn owls go from eggs all the way to fully-fledged owlets.
