Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Plan
Storrington, Sullington and Washington Parish Councils have prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Storrington, Sullington and Washington.

| Plan “Made” (Adopted) | The Storrington, Sullington and Washington NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all other modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result on the SDNPA resolution on 12 September 2019, has been made.
The Storrington, Sullington and Washington NDP is part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park area of the parishes as defined by the Neighbourhood Area designated on 10 December 2013. The Storrington, Sullington and Washington NDP can be viewed at the following locations:

Referendum |
A referendum was held on the Storrington, Sullington and Washington NDP on 18 July 2019. Further information on the referendum is available on the Horsham District Council website. There was a 19.13% turnout, with the following results:

Decision Statement |
Horsham District Council (HDC) agreed the Decision Statement for the Storrington, Sullington and Washington NDP in December 2018. This sets out the modifications that were made to the Storrington, Sullington and Washington NDP prior to referendum. The modifications included important changes which required further consulted between 06 February and 27 March 2019. |

Independent Examination |
Horsham District Council (HDC) appointed Mr John Slater as the Independent Examiner of the Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). The Examiner published their final report in November 2018. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission Consultation | Horsham District Council (HDC) published the Submission Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 23 February and 13 April 2018. The Submission Storrington, Sullington and Washington NDP is available below and its evidence base and submission documents are available on the Horsham District Council website. |
| Regulation 14 – Pre-Submission Consultations | Storrington, Sullington and Washington Parish Councils carried out two further pre-submission consultations on the Draft Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 06 July and 17 August 2016, and 10 July and 04 September 2017. |

Independent Examination |
Horsham District Council (HDC) appointed Mr Paul McCreery as the Independent Examiner of the Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). The Examiner published their final report and found that the NDP could be progressed to Referendum. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission Consultation |
Horsham District Council (HDC) published the Submission Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 28 August and 09 October 2015. |
| Regulation 14 – Pre-Submission Consultation | Storrington, Sullington and Washington Parish Councils carried out a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 03 February and 17 March 2015. |

Designated Neighbourhood Area |
A consultation on an application to designate the Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Area was carried out between 09 September and 21 October 2013. The SDNPA designated the part of the Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Area that is within the National Park on 10 December 2013. |
