Sompting Neighbourhood Plan
Sompting Parish Council (SPC) was preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Sompting. However, the parish council has since agreed not to proceed with the preparation of an NDP. Further information is available on the Sompting Parish Council website

| Regulation 14 – Pre-Submission Consultation | Sompting Parish Council (SPC) carried out a pre-submission consultation on a revised Draft Sompting Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 07 December 2020 and 15 February 2021. |
| Independent Examination | Adur District Council (ADC) appointed Mr John Slater as the Independent Examiner of the Sompting Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). The parish council formally withdrew the Sompting NDP on 25 July 2018 and the Examiner published their final report on 29 July 2018. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission Consultation | Adur District Council (ADC) published the Submission Sompting Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 19 February and 08 April 2018. The Submission Sompting NDP and its evidence base and submission documents are available on the Adur District Council website. |
| Regulation 14 – Pre-Submission Consultations | Sompting Parish Council (SPC) carried out a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Sompting Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 18 May and 29 June 2015. The parish council carried out a further pre-submission consultation on the Housing and Estate Design Guide between 27 July and 18 September 2017. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | A consultation on an application to designate the Sompting Neighbourhood Area was carried out between 10 October and 23 November 2012. The SDNPA designated the part of the Sompting Neighbourhood Area that is within the National Park on 14 March 2013. |
