Seaford Neighbourhood Plan
Seaford Town Council (STC) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Seaford. Further details are available on the Seaford Town Council website.
The following stages and documents have been completed.

| Plan “Made” (Adopted) | The Seaford NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all other modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result on the SDNPA resolution on 12 March 2020, has been made.
The Seaford NDP is part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park area of the town as defined by the Neighbourhood Area designated on 18 January 2016. The Seaford NDP can be viewed at the following locations:

| Referendum |
A referendum was held on the Seaford NDP on 06 February 2020. Further information on the referendum is available on the Lewes District Council website. There was a 31.8% turnout, with the following results:

| Decision Statement | Lewes District Council (LDC) agreed the Decision Statement for the Seaford NDP in December 2019. This sets out the modifications that were made to the Seaford NDP prior to referendum. |
| Independent Examination | Lewes District Council (LDC) appointed Mr Nigel McGurk as the Independent Examiner of the Seaford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). The Examiner published their final report in December 2019. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission Consultation | Lewes District Council (LDC) published the Submission Seaford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 24 May and 05 July 2019. The Submission Seaford NDP and its evidence base and submission documents are available on the Lewes District Council website. |
| Regulation 14 – Pre-Submission Consultations | Seaford Town Council (STC) carried out two pre-submission consultations on the Draft Seaford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 03 November 2017 and 02 January 2018, and between 01 November and 13 December 2018. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | A consultation on an application to designate the Seaford Neighbourhood Area was carried out between 27 November 2015 and 08 January 2016. The SDNPA designated the part of the Seaford Neighbourhood Area that is within the National Park on 18 January 2016. |
