Petworth Neighbourhood Plan
Petworth Town Council (PTC) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Petworth. Further details are available on the Petworth Town Council website.

| Plan “Made” (Adoption) | The Petworth NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all other modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result of the SDNPA resolution on 12 July 2018 , has been made.
The Petworth NDP is part of the Development Plan for the parish as defined by the Neighbourhood Area designated on 16 January 2014. The Petworth NDP can be viewed at the following location:

| Referendum | A referendum was held on the Petworth NDP on 07 June 2018. Further information on the referendum is available on the Chichester District Council website.
There was a 36.32% turnout, with the following results:

| Decision Statement | The SDNPA agreed the Decision Statement for the Petworth NDP on 19 April 2018. This sets out the modifications that were made to the Petworth NDP prior to referendum. |
| Independent Examination and Focused Consultation | The SDNPA appointed Mr John Slater as the Independent Examiner of the Petworth Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). The Examiner published their final report in January 2018.
In their final report, the Examiner recommended the allocation of “Land south of Rothermead” (Policy H8) for 10 dwellings. The SDNPA carried out a focused consultation on the inclusion of this new allocation between 09 February and 23 March 2018.

| Regulation 16 – Submission Consultation |
The SDNPA later published the Submission Petworth Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 04 September and 16 October 2017. The Submission Petworth NDP is available below. | Regulation 14 – Pre-Submission Consultation | Petworth Town Council (PTC) carried out a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Petworth Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 03 April and 15 May 2017. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | A consultation on an application to designate the Petworth Neighbourhood Area was carried out between 26 July and 06 September 2013. The SDNPA designated the Petworth Neighbourhood Area on 16 January 2014. |
