Milland Neighbourhood Plan

Milland Parish Council has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Milland. Further details of the NDP preparation are available on the Milland Parish Council website.

Plan ‘made’ (adopted)	The Milland NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result of the SDNPA resolution on 09 June 2016, has been made. Milland NDP Made Plan The made Milland NDP is a part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) area as defined by the Neighbourhood Area Designation by the SDNPA on 13 June 2013. The made Kirdford NDP can be viewed at the following locations: South Downs Centre, North Street, Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 9DH. Milland Stores, Iping Road, Milland, GU30 7NA.
Referendum	A referendum was held on the Milland NDP on 05 May 2016. Further information on the referendum is available on the Chichester District Council website. There was a 33.8% turnout, with the following results: Yes = 89.2% (198 votes) No = 10.8% (24 votes)
Decision Statement	The SDNPA agreed the Decision Statement for the Milland NDP on 21 March 2016. This sets out the modifications that will be made to the plan in response to the Examiner’s modifications. Independent Examination	The SDNPA appointed Mr John Slater as Independent Examiner of the Milland NDP. The Examiner published their final report in February 2016. Regulation 16 – Submission consultation	The SDNPA published the submitted Milland NDP for consultation between 02 October and 13 November 2015. Proposed Neighbourhood Area	A consultation on an application to designate the Milland Neighbourhood Area was held from 18 April to 06 June 2013.
