Lavant Neighbourhood Plan
Lavant Parish Council (LPC) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Lavant. Further details are available on the Lavant Parish Council website.

| Plan ‘made’ (adopted) | The Lavant NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all other modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result of the SDNPA resolution on 10 August 2017, has been made.
The Lavant NDP is part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park area of the parish as defined by the Neighbourhood Area designated on 14 March 2013. The Lavant NDP can be viewed at the following location:

| Referendum |
A referendum was held on the Lavant NDP on 18 July 2017. Further information on the referendum is available on the Chichester District Council website. There was a 24% turnout, with the following results:

| Decision Statement | The SDNPA agreed the Decision Statement for the Lavant NDP on 11 May 2017. This sets out the modifications that were made to the Lavant NDP prior to referendum. |
| Independent Examination | The SDNPA appointed Mr John Slater MRTPI as Independent Examiner of the Lavant NDP. The Examiner published their final report in April 2017. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission consultation |
The SDNPA received the Submission Lavant Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) on 08 November 2016. The SDNPA later published the Submission Lavant NDP for consultation between 10 January and 21 February 2017. The Submission Lavant NDP is available below. | Regulation 14 – Pre-submission consultation | Lavant Parish Council (LPC) carried out a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Lavant Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 10 March and 28 April 2016. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | The SDNPA designated the part of the Lavant Neighbourhood Area that is within the National Park on 14 March 2013 following an application from Lavant Parish Council. |
