Kirdford Neighbourhood Plan
Kirdford Parish Council (KPC) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Kirdford. Further details are available on the Kirdford Parish Council website.

| Plan “Made” (Adoption) | The Kirdford NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all other modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result of the SDNPA resolution on 12 June 2014, has been made.
The Kirdford NDP is part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park area of the parish as defined by the Neighbourhood Area designated on 13 September 2012. The Kirdford NDP can be viewed at the following locations:

| Referendum |
A referendum was held on the Kirdford NDP on 01 May 2014. Further information on the referendum is available on the Chichester District Council website. There was a 44% turnout, with the following results:

| Decision Statement | Chichester District Council (CDC) agreed the Decision Statement for the Kirdford NDP. This sets out the modifications that were made to the Kirdford NDP prior to referendum. |
| Independent Examination | Chichester District Council (CDC) appointed Ms Janet Cheesley as the Independent Examiner of the Kirdford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). The Examiner published their final report in January 2014. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission consultation | Chichester District Council (CDC) published the Submission Kirdford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 19 July and 02 September 2013. The Submission Kirdford NDP and its evidence base and submission documents are available on the Chichester District Council website. |
| Regulation 14 – Pre-submission consultation | Kirdford Parish Council (WGPC) carried out a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Kirdford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 12 December 2012 and 04 February 2013. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | A consultation on an application to designate the Kirdford Neighbourhood Area was carried out between 15 June and 03 August 2012. The SDNPA designated the part of the Kirdford Neighbourhood Area that is within the National Park on 13 September 2012. |
