Fittleworth Neighbourhood Plan

Fittleworth Parish Council (FPC) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Fittleworth. Further details are available on the Fittleworth Parish Council website.

Plan “Made” (Adoption)	The Fittleworth NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all other modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, on 20 December 2019, was formally made. Made Fittleworth NDP. Reg20 Adoption Statement. The Fittleworth NDP is part of the Development Plan for the parish as defined by the Neighbourhood Area designated on 05 March 2015. The Fittleworth NDP can be viewed at the following location: South Downs Centre, North Street, Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 9DH.
Referendum	A referendum was held on the Fittleworth NDP on 07 November 2019. Further information on the referendum is available on the Chichester District Council website. There was a 25% turnout, with the following results: Yes = 84% (164 votes) No = 15% (30 votes) Rejected = 1% (1 vote)
Decision Statement	The SDNPA agreed the Decision Statement for the Fittleworth NDP on 12 September 2019. This sets out the modifications that were made to the Fittleworth NDP prior to referendum. Decision Statement.
Independent Examination	The SDNPA appointed Mr John Slater MRTPI as Independent Examiner of the Fittleworth Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). The Examiner issued their final report in July 2019. Examiner’s Final Report.
Regulation 16 – Submission Consultation	The SDNPA received the Submission Fittleworth Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) on 23 January 2019. The SDNPA later published the Submission Fittleworth NDP for consultation between 22 February and 12 April 2019. The Submission Fittleworth NDP is available below. Regulation 14 – Pre-Submission Consultation	Fittleworth Parish Council (FPC) carried out a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Fittleworth Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) from 15 January 2018 for 6 weeks.
Designated Neighbourhood Area	A consultation on an application to designate the Fittleworth Neighbourhood Area was carried out between 15 January and 26 February 2015. The SDNPA designated the Fittleworth Neighbourhood Area on 05 March 2015. Designated Neighbourhood Area
