Amberley Neighbourhood Plan
Amberley Parish Council are preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan for Amberley. Details of the neighbourhood plan preparation are available at the Amberley Neighbourhood Plan website.

| Plan ‘made’ (adopted) | The Amberley NDP (Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all modifications as per the SDNPA Decision Statement) complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and as a result of the SDNPA Planning Committee resolution on 15 June 2017 been made.
The Amberley NDP is a part of the Development Plan of the SDNPA Local Planning Authority area as defined by the Neighbourhood Area Designation by the SDNPA on 5 March 2015. The made Amberley NDP can be viewed at the following location:

| Referendum | A referendum on the Amberley NDP was held on Thursday 4 May 2017. There was a 57.67% turnout, with the following result:

| Decision on a Plan Proposal |
On 9 March 2017, the SDNPA’s Planning Committee agreed the Decision Statement for the Amberley NDP. This sets out the modifications that will be made to the plan in response to the Examiners recommendations. Amberley Decision Statement and report The Amberley NDP has been modified accordingly and will proceed to referendum on the 4th May 2017. |
| Independent Examination |
The SDNPA appointed Rosemary Kidd MRTPI as Independent Examiner of the Amberley NDP. The Examiner assessed whether the Amberley NDP met certain legal requirements, known as the ‘basic conditions’ and considered the representations made on the Amberley NDP. The Examiner has now issued her final report, which the SDNPA will consider. A ‘Decision Statement’ will be prepared setting out the actions to be taken in response to the recommendations of the Examiner. It will be presented to the SDNPA Planning Committee on the 9th March 2017. |
| Publicising the Plan proposal | The SDNPA published the submitted Amberley NDP for consultation from Tuesday 6 September to Tuesday 18 October 2016. The following documents were submitted for consultation:

| Submission of Plan proposals | Amberley Parish Council submitted the Amberley NDP and accompanying documents to the SDNPA on 4 August 2016. The following submission checklist was completed by the SDNPA. |
| Pre-submission consultation on a plan | Amberley Parish Council carried out their Pre Submission consultation from 19 March to 30 April 2016. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | The SDNPA designated the Amberley Neighbourhood Area on 5 March 2015 following an application from Amberley Parish Council. |
