Lynchmere Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan

The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) has prepared a new Character Appraisal and Management Plan for Lynchmere Conservation Area. These documents periodically review the continued need and purpose of conservation area designation, are recommended in Government guidance and have proved useful tools for effective development management.

The new appraisal proposes extensions to take in further properties beyond the current boundaries of the Conservation Area. A consultation draft of the document will be published on the website for the next six weeks and we look forward to receiving your comments on it by 15 June, 2016.

The final draft will be reviewed to reflect public responses, which will all be reported to the SDNPA Planning Committee, probably in the Autumn. Officers will make recommendations at that time but any final decision to extend the Conservation Area rests with the Committee.
