Green Careers

Green Careers

Green Careers are jobs which directly or indirectly contribute to reaching climate and environmental goals in the UK.

As this sector grows, it might be a job which contains elements of sustainable practise or full-time jobs committed to improving the environment and climate for years to come.

In the South Downs National Park, we not only support businesses as part of our duty to seek to foster the economic and social well-being of local communities, but also provide our own careers and opportunities for those looking to gain experience in Green Careers.

Read on to find out more about what these careers might be, how they link to subjects in school and how young people can begin to find a job which matches their passions and values.

The South Downs National Park also offers work experience opportunities and career visits to school. Please do contact us at learning@southdowns.gov.uk for more information.
