Career Education and Work Experience
We are here to support young people with pathways to Green Careers including within the National Park family and other protected landscapes.
The South Downs National Park employs over 100 people in a variety of roles from National Park Rangers, who conserve and protect the special characteristics of our landscape, to our Planning Officers, who guide and influence development of the land in the National Park, to our Support Services team that support the day-to-day running of the organisation.
In School Career Support
We are able support schools as they work towards the Gatsby Benchmarks in their career education.
From support with online resources to in-school visits, please do get in touch via learning@southdowns.gov.uk to see if we can support you.
Work experience
Work experience placements are an important part of career progression.
The South Downs National Park Authority is keen to provide opportunities for students to find out more about our work and also contribute their ideas to our projects.
