In addition to the National Design Guide, a South Downs Design Guide will set out the general design principles and standards that development proposals in the National Park will need to follow.
In addition to the South Downs Design Guide, local design guides, within Neighbourhood Development Plans and Village Design Statements, set out specific design principles in their respective areas; these are an important way of communicating local design expectations and requirements.
