Discover the Wealden Heath Special Protection Area

Join our heathland engagement team  and partners for a host of events and activities to celebrate our lowland heath habitat.

Our guided walks, and community events are themed around the rare wildlife, stunning landscape and fascinating history of the heath.

Monthly Wellbeing  Nature walk: 10:00-11.30 Hogmoor Inclosure

Join engagement ranger Elinor for a relaxed wander around Hogmoor Inclosure, taking in all of the senses and seasonal changes. (No booking needed) Upcoming dates:

  • Saturday 22nd March: 10:00-12:00: Community litter pick Broxhead common Join the rangers for a community litter pick around Broxhead common and help us look after one of our rarest UK habitats. No need to book, just drop in.

 

Ever wandered what you’re hearing whilst walking the dog? The rangers will introduce you to how to use binoculars (we’ll have some you can borrow) and point out some of the most common sounds you’ll hear on the common this time of year.
