Learn how to make beautiful rush decorations for the festive season with Louise Arthur from Rough Around the Hedges. Suitable for complete beginners through to improvers and intermediates, Louise will show you how to create folded reindeer with bells and angels with halos from soft, supple rushes. English freshwater rush is a soft but strong weaving material that is harvested in the summer months from lakes and streams. Traditionally used for flooring, mats, hats and bags, you will be creating small decorations as an introduction to this versatile and natural plant fibre. Tickets are £45 per person, tea, coffee and cake included.
