Dell Inspired

30 June 2024

10.00 to 13.30

Come and join this short circumnavigation of the 2,500 acre Bereleigh Estate outside the picturesque village of East Meon. The estate has been described as “one of the prettiest and most attractive small sporting, residential and agricultural estates in the South of England”.

The views on this walk will certainly confirm this description, but be prepared for a climb to see them! The start and end point of this walk is The Dell – a destination for all the family, not the computer! The Dell’s renovated double decker bus ‘Boycie’ is an eye-catching café serving coffee, cakes, snacks and pastries in the morning. A retired safari tent sits alongside Boycie, providing an inviting bar and restaurant later in the day. Said to be ‘Hampshire’s Biggest Beer Garden’,

The Dell has space for everyone (and their dog) to enjoy a slice of Hampshire’s rolling countryside. Boycie opens bright and early on Sundays (from 08.30) so why not factor in topping up on caffeine before we set off. By the time we return, having worked up a hunger, the bar will be open and wood-fired pizza oven ready to cook a range of delicious sourdough pizzas.

What more could the hungry and thirty walker ask for?! 5 mile walk Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead.  Walk suitable for energetic children (because of the climb). Children the responsibility of parents
