Moonshine

Moonshine

12 January 2025

18.00 to 20.30

4 mile night walk Be a little naughty this January and indulge in some moon shine! The moon shine of illegal liquor fame was prohibited by law, but it is usually us who prohibit our enjoyment of natural moon shine with our preference for staying indoors on cold winter’s evenings.

There is nothing more beautiful than a walk on a clear January night lit only by the radiant beams of the full Wolf Moon.

Up on the South Downs we fortunately don’t have to worry about howling, hungry wolves lamenting the scarcity of food in midwinter for whom the moon is named.

Torches are wholly redundant on this walk, as even the stars might struggle to make their presence felt.

This will be a slow and sensual night walk appreciating and reflecting on the beauty of the wider universe and our tiny place within it. No dogs on this walk, thank you
