Location Visit Denmans Garden and support the National Garden Scheme*. Denmans Garden Fontwell was created by Joyce Robinson, a brilliant pioneer in gravel gardening and former home of influential landscape designer, John Brookes MBE. Denmans is a Grade II listed post-war garden renowned for its curvilinear layout and complex plantings. Enjoy year-round colour, unusual plants, structure and fragrance in the gravel gardens, faux riverbeds, intimate walled garden, ponds and conservatory. Visitors will find inspiration and design ideas for gardeners of all skill levels and gardens sizes. Staff are always happy to answer questions. Unusual plants are for sale in the plant centre, most of which are propagated on site. The gift shop has one-off garden ornaments, pots, and vintage accessories along with work by local artists and makers. Denmans Garden Denmans Lane, Fontwell, West Sussex BN18 0SU opens for the National Garden Scheme on Sunday 26th February, Sunday 30th April and Sunday 29th October 11am-4pm.
