Venue Hire
The Grade II listed Memorial Hall building can accommodate up to 170 guests, with the rooms available to be used in conjunction with each other or booked individually.
- The Memorial Hall
The Memorial Hall is the largest of the meeting rooms and can be used at full capacity to seat 170 people theatre-style, or 72 people cabaret-style and 52 people conference-style.
It is a flexible space, and seating arrangements can be discussed at the time of booking. The room can also be used empty if required. There is a fully operational stage area with lighting rigs and AV presentation systems.
The use of the kitchen area, next door to the Hall, is included in the hire rate. The kitchen is equipped with two dishwashers, two fridges and a cooker. Basic crockery, cutlery and glassware are also provided.
The Memorial Hall is suitable for meetings, seminars, lectures, performances, panel discussions and training days. The main Hall is wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the stage.
- Chanctonbury Meeting Room
Located on the first floor of the Memorial Hall building, Chanctonbury is a bright day-lit room seating up to 16 people conference-style, 30 people theatre-style, and 32 cabaret-style.
It is suitable for meetings, training days and seminars. A laptop, projector, flipchart and TV screen are included in the hire rate. Please note this room is not accessible by wheelchair.
- Ditchling Meeting Room
The Ditchling meeting room was a former classroom and is located on the upper first floor of the Memorial Hall building. It seats 12 people conference-style and 20 people theatre-style.
It is suitable for meetings and training days. A laptop, projector, flipchart and TV screen are included in the hire rate. Please note this room is not accessible by wheelchair.

The South Downs Centre is located at the northern end of Midhurst, opposite the main bus station and North Street car park.
There is limited visitor parking available on site but parking is available in the North Street public car park and there are regular bus services to Haslemere and Chichester.
