Steyning Neighbourhood Plan
Steyning Parish Council (SPC) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Woodmancote. Further details are available on the Steyning Parish Council Website.

| Plan “Made” (Adopted) | The Steyning NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all other modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result on the SDNPA resolution on 08 September 2022, has been made.
The Steyning NDP is part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park area of the parish as defined by the Neighbourhood Area designated on 23 March 2018. The Steyning NDP can be viewed at the following locations:

| Referendum |
A referendum was held on the Steyning NDP on 14 July 2022. Further information on the referendum is available on the Horsham District Council website. There was a 20% turnout, with the following results:

| Decision Statement | Horsham District Council (HDC) agreed the Decision Statement for the Steyning NDP on 01 June 2011. This sets out the modifications that were made to the Steyning NDP prior to referendum. |
| Independent Examination | Horsham District Council (HDC) appointed Mr Andrew Ashcroft as the Independent Examiner of the Steyning Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). The Examiner published their final report in April 2022. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission Consultation | Horsham District Council (HDC) published the Submission Steyning Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 17 July and 11 September 2020. The Submission Steyning NDP is available below and its evidence base and submission documents are available on the Horsham District Council website. |
| Regulation 14 – Pre-Submission Consultation | Steyning Parish Council (SPC) carried out a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Steyning Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 06 September and 18 October 2019.

| Designated Neighbourhood Area | The SDNPA designated the part of the Steyning Neighbourhood Area that is within the National Park on 23 March 2018 following an application from Steyning Parish Council. |
